Joint Film and Audiovisual Sector COVID-19 Statement - 5 May 2020

The film and audiovisual sector in Europe calls for urgent action by EU and Member State decision-makers to safeguard the future of the sector in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak, following in the footsteps of initial emergency measures announced at national level, including by film funds and other bodies - see statement here


The International Video Federation plays a crucial role in all EU and international policy and legislative initiatives relating to the video industry (physical media and online) including copyright protection and enforcement, online distribution of audiovisual content and e-commerce, taxation, youth protection and content classification, and consumer protection.

The IVF contributes to the work of EU institutions, the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO), the European Audiovisual Observatory in Strasbourg, and the EUIPO/European Observatory on Infringement of IPRs in Alicante.
